Skiffia spec.

English name:
Zacapu Sawfin

Skiffia spec. Zacapu looks like a marbled form of Skiffia lermae. BRIAN KABBES could not discover these commonly named “ high backs ” in the native habitat of Zacapu lake, which would show this sign clearly. This species is often colored according to mood and as they age they become more or less yellow.
Skiffia spec. Zacapu is widespread in the whole Zacapu lake and also in the adjoining drainage area, although in small numbers. This species probably lives individually - in contrast to Skiffia multipuctata, which lives in shoals. The variability in the species is small, even though fish have been caught in very different parts of the lake.
The gender differentiation in the Skiffia species Zacapu is more pronounced than, for example, in the case of Skiffia multipunctata.
