Xenoophorus

HUBBS & TURNER, 1937

The genus Xenoophorus at one time was considered to consist of three species, at this time however, Xenoophorus erro and Xenoophorus exsul have been designated as a synonyms of the species Xenoophorus captivus.
This genus of Goodeids are peaceful, easy to keep and easy to breed. The feeding of these fish is easy. Flakes, frozen and live food are all accepted, and the diet should include vegetable matter to some extent.
